Projects flourish when we work together. Whether it is a workshop catalog, wedding suite, or program design, I collaborate with a variety of creatives and vendors to guarantee an exceptional result. My experience advising on and managing projects includes everything from consultations, design direction, and copy editing to content generation, file preparation, and final content creation.

Workshops at San Francisco Center for the Book

In my role as Program Manager at San Francisco Center for the Book, I am in charge of planning and scheduling over 300 hundred bookbinding, printing, and other arts workshops per year on a trimester basis. I coordinate with a team of instructors to create a comprehensive and engaging curriculum. After scheduling I organize all content and flow it to sfcb.org via a database and create webpages for all non-auto flowing content.

Marecki-Hall Wedding Suite

From conception to dessert table, it was a rewarding experience helping this bride and groom realize their wedding dreams. We started with a classy-yet-rustic theme that would combine the bride’s illustrations into a scene for their special day. I provided typeface research, digital design layout assistance, pre-press preparations, paper consulting, letterpress printing, and even a bit of bookbinding. With a mind to budget, we elegantly mixed a letterpress aesthetic for the invitation suite, dinner menus, and party favors; with digitally printed signs for the bar, dessert table, and guest book area thus creating a congruous look that gave them just what they wanted without costing millions. The bride was dreaming of a fairytale guest book and I combined a sewn boards binding on lavender tapes and Japanese silk book cloth with pages that were hand-torn and hand-edged in gold ink for a special spot where guests could leave their well wishes.

Workshop Brochures | San Francisco Center for the Book

In the winter of 2018 my role as Program Manager at San Francisco Center for the Book expanded to overseeing not just the content for workshop brochures but also the design and production as a whole. Working with a contracted designer, I provided text and image content, proof reading and copy editing feedback in addition to ensuring we stayed on target for print and mailing deadlines.
